Coming Out Day

Let’s celebrate diversity because October 11th is the Coming Out Day! This day was inspired by a march that happened on October 11, 1987. Today we raise awareness for people who once were despised and humiliated for being who they are. This day is not only important to gays, lesbians, and other LGBTQ+ community members, but to every one of us. National Coming Out Day is way more than just telling everyone you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, etc... It is about pride, bravery, diversity, acceptance, believing in yourself. And most importantly, this day sends a message that love can come in different shapes and forms.
